A dictionary of Marshall McLuhan’s quotations

The speed of information movement is very high and it creates a field rather than a simple area of subjects, it does not create subjects, it creates total field. This is in one way ecumenism, as opposed to the old sectarian, fragmented setup. And the same result is being felt in the area of subjects in the schools. They feel more and more need to interrelate and dialogue among disciplines.
