Yet we are now surrounded by a new environment, of integrated tasks, integrated knowledge, and that demands pattern recognition. The kind of contrast between those two situations creates an absurdity that has launched the theatre of the absurd. The theatre of the absurd itself is postulated on this kind of dichotomy between these two cultures that never seem to get any closer together.
