A dictionary of Marshall McLuhan’s quotations

At electric speed communication tends to bypass the organization chart. The big decisions are no longer made at the top, they are made by many subordinates, all over the place. The amount of power at the top is changing very fast. This is not the result of democratic theory. It is the result of speeded up communication. So the kids now make the decision on the future of clothing, of consumer goods education. They have become a big consumer element so they can determine policy even in education.
