The satellite means, among other things, the end oif “news.” It can zero in on any part of the globe at any time and give you direct participation in whatever you want to see going on. No more news reports: they’re just a momentary, passing thing of the recent decade. With the satellite, news becomes so total, so complete that reports are meaningless. The electronic age is organic, total.
