Remember, as a general rule of thumb, hardware tends toward centralism and connectiveness (left hemisphere) and software tends toward decentralization and discontinuity (right hemisphere). But software will ultimately produce a climate of diversity in the Bell Systems because its final aim is the servicing of the user.
