A dictionary of Marshall McLuhan’s quotations

The left-hemispheric Westerner approaches the study of media in terms of linear motion or sequential transportation of images as detached figures (content), while the right-hemisphere approach examines the ground of media effects instead. For example, the Shannon Weaver model of communication is an extreme example of the lineal bias in communication: it is a kind of pipeline model of hardware container for software content.
