M. MCLUHAN: Yes, with the hologram.
J. PARE: That is 3D transmission?
M. MCLUHAN: Yes, that makes the TV obsolete. And there are other developments, like the videophone, that might make it obsolete. The videophone is one of the things that terrifies people. I don't think anybody wants a videophone.
